Vinylester Resin & Catalyst
The FibreGlassDirct Vinylester resin (Atlac 580 ACT) is a pre-accelerated thixotropic, high grade bisphenol A vinyl ester urethane resin. It has excellent performance against alkaline media and hot water. It has been especially adapted to meet the requirements of hand lay up and spray up applications. The resin is recommended for the fabrication of chemical resistant equipment and marine applications.
The FibreGlassDirect Vinylester resin (Atlac 580 ACT) is a pre-accelerated thixotropic, high-grade bisphenol A vinyl ester urethane resin.
It combines exceptional chemical resistance and an outstanding combination of heat resistance and flexibility.
Furthermore, Atlac 580 ACT has very good handling and curing properties.
Atlac 580 ACT is resistant to many aqueous acidic salts and alkaline solutions. It is especially resistant against alkaline media and hot water in which tests have shown an outstanding performance.
How much Resin do I need?
Work out how much Glass you have by weight and multiply by 2.5. i.e. for 2kg of fibreglass mat, you will require 5kg of resin. Alternatively, use our Materials Quantity Calculator. Roofing applications may require more resin if the resin is applied to OSB3 boards as the boards will soak more resin. Our Read more
